Senior Leadership Team

Mark W. Mueller, Managing Partner

As a Co-founder and Managing Partner, Mark provides leadership and day-to-day management of DataClarity including a specific focus on sponsorship and support of client engagements, business development, strategic partnerships, talent management, finance and operations.

Mark has been a startup entrepreneur since founding his first company in 1977. Since then, he has gained an extensive entrepreneurial background in birthing, building and managing several information technology companies and start-up ventures. He began his career as an engineer and programmer, and was employed by numerous companies including Data Design, Simmonds Precision (NYSE: GR) and Intertec Data Systems where he was instrumental in the development of the first microprocessor-based network-capable desktop computer. In 1984, Mark was recruited by The Industrial Computer Products Division of Arrow Electronics (NYSE: ARW), where he held numerous technical sales and marketing positions that contributed substantially to the success of the company’s computer products division. In 1986, he founded Monolith Corporation, and as the top executive, built the self-funded startup into one of the most successful companies in the multi-dimensional database market. Through Monolith, Mark acquired Integrated Dealer Systems and R.V. Soft in 1995, and rapidly grew the combined entities into the market leading independent software vendor (ISV) in its dealership market segment. In 1999, he co-founded the Business Intelligence Division of Monolith Corporation, which was acquired and spun out as DataClarity Corporation in October, 2002 after selling Monolith to Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC). Mark graduated from The Ohio Institute of Technology, with a major in Electronics Engineering, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree.

Steven M. Johnson, Senior Partner, Vice President

As a Co-founder and Partner, Steve provides leadership and day-to-day management of DataClarity including a specific focus on client success, strategy and solution delivery, business development, talent management, operations and information systems.

Steve has over eighteen years experience in the field of Information Technology. Prior to co-founding DataClarity Corporation, Steve was employed by Monolith Corporation where he co-founded and was instrumental in starting up, building and managing the BI Division. During his tenure at Monolith, Steve served in several director-level management capacities including Director of Engineering, Director of Services and most recently Director of Business Intelligence Services. Prior to joining Monolith, Steve was employed by Memorex Telex where he held several senior-level engineering and management positions in information technology quality. While at Memorex Telex, Steve’s primary focus was Product Assurance of Enterprise Solutions and the development and delivery of the Quality Information System. Steve graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College, receiving his B.S. in Computer Information Systems. Since then, Steve has continued his education completing specialized training in Project Management and Total Quality Management. During his career, Steve has been awarded several management and technical certifications including American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer, American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor, COMPTIA Server Specialist, COMPTIA Networking Specialist, and COMPTIA Internet Specialist.

François Ross, Vice President, Sales

As a member of the company’s senior leadership team, François oversees and manages business development and client success, strategy and solution delivery, and strategic partnerships.  He is also responsible for driving many facets of the company’s expansion into new markets.

A recognized leader in business development and the management of complex Business Intelligence, Performance Management, and Data Warehousing solutions, François brings outstanding skills and more than 15 years of experience in the IBM Cognos marketplace where he built and led highly-successful Cognos practices for ISA Consulting, and most recently the Enterprise Intelligence unit of Ernst & Young LLP.  Over the past 11 years, he developed a significant client base and very strong expertise in the IBM Cognos platform in various roles including Sales Director and Consulting Director, where he won awards including North American Partner Sales Representative of the Year for both 2005 and 2006, and ISA Consulting Representative of the Year for both 2009 and 2011. His legacy of success has been built on his strong inter-personal skills and focus on team-building, which have resulted in strong and loyal partnerships with his team, clients and partners, combined with a strong technical background and understanding of the technology, industry and best practices.  He has worked with a myriad of clients from the mid-market to the Fortune 500 across many industries and verticals.  François graduated from Maisonneuve College, receiving his Bachelor’s in Computer Science.

Dragos P. Georgescu, Principal, Director of Research and Development

As a member of the company’s senior leadership team, Dragos provides technical leadership, and oversees and manages all aspects of DataClarity’s research and development.

Dragos has more than a decade of research and development experience, with the majority concentrated in the areas of business analytics, performance management, and data integration. He leads and manages DataClarity’s research and development teams, and is responsible for developing and executing strategy and plans to build innovative next-generation market-leading products. Prior to joining DataClarity, Dragos held numerous senior and principal-level consulting and development positions. Beginning with 2004, he was employed by IBM Global Business Services where he was involved in many enterprise projects in all phases of development from presales through knowledge transfer and mentoring. Dragos holds a B.S. in Information Technology & Economics from Bucharest University of Economics, and a M.S. in Information Technology. In addition, he holds numerous certifications in the metadata and OLAP modeling, advanced and multidimensional reporting, and ETL development areas.

Reginald J. Harper, Sr., Principal, BI Practice & Chief Data Architect

As a Co-founder, Principal and Chief Data Architect, Reggie provides senior technical leadership to DataClarity’s Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing practices, which encompass performance management, reporting, analysis, balanced scorecarding and complete data warehouse solutions.

Reggie has over fifteen years experience in the field of Information Technology with the past 11 years concentrating in the Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence areas. Prior to co-founding DataClarity Corporation, Reggie was employed by Monolith Corporation where he was instrumental in the BI Division's success and growth. During his tenure at Monolith, Reggie was promoted from a Senior to a Principal Consultant over the course of a year, during which time he was responsible for leading the company's largest data warehousing project. Prior to joining Monolith, Reggie was employed by Idea Integration, a Modis (NYSE: MPS) subsidiary, where he held several senior-level consulting positions in data warehousing and business intelligence. While at Idea Integration, Reggie was the primary consultant driving multiple Fortune 1000 companies' efforts to successfully design and build their data warehouses and data marts. Reggie received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Cheyney University and a Masters of Science in Software Engineering degree from Penn State University. Since then, Reggie has continued his education completing various courses in Data Warehousing, Database Design and Modeling, Data Mining, and Business Intelligence, including several courses taken at Kimball University, with the renowned "Father of Data Warehousing," Dr. Ralph Kimball himself.
